Image S.P.O.S.A. (Spoločnosť na pomoc osobám s autizmom – Society for the Help of People with Autism)

is a parental, non governmental organization in Slovakia. It is a society of citizens who have joined together with the objective to represent the intents of children, youth and adults suffering from autistic syndrome. SPOSA nowadays consists of 17 regional organizations throughout Slovakia. Created in 1994, we now offer therapies for families with autistic children every afternoon after school:

Music therapy

Art therapy

Training of self-service (cooking, ironing, cleaning, washing-up, baking, preparing coffee or tea)

Over the years we have organised many irregular events, like St Nicolas Day, Christmas and Eastern workshops, Children´s Day in a Ranch near Modra, one week winter and summer camps and also some lectures with professionals dealing with autistic disorder and treatment.

The aim of SPOSA is the enforcement and support of all measures heading towards the improvement of the quality of life of all individuals affected with autism.

SPOSA is a full member of Autism-Europe, an international association that represents its member organisations at European institutions.
